18[DS1(E) switch / DS3 switch] Is it serviceable even though power is intercepted?

A switch device can be serviceable through the A Side Primarily circuit even though the supplied power is intercepted.
However, it is not switched even though a trouble happens to the unit and the line with power intercepted.

17[VM] It is not automatically recognized during the installation of a unit.

When detaching the existing unit from the place where the unit was installed and installing a new unit of different kind, the unit is recognized in 3 kinds to manage the map information of DS1E and DS1.

1. Analog Unit (FXS, FXO, RD, 2WE&M, 4WE&M )
2. OCUDP Unit (OCUDP)
3. Digital Unit (DS64N, SHDC)

When units of the same kind were installed at an interchanged position, the slot type is automatically set and the existing map information is maintained.
However, when units of different kinds are installed at an interchanged position, the slot type and map information of the existing unit are maintained and the newly set unit generates a Missmatch Alarm.

Example 1) When detaching a FXS from the slot where the FXS was installed and installing a 4WE&M
→ The Slot Type is automatically changed to 4WE&M and the existing Map information is maintained

Example 2) When detaching a FXS from the slot where the FXS was installed and installing an OCUDP
→ The Slot Type maintains a FXS, generates a CU_MISS Alarm, and maintains the existing Map information

Reference) In order to delete the existing Slot Type information and receive a service with a new unit, handle the relevant slot in a system slot type as a blank and install a new unit.

16[VM] The connection pictures between shelves in a EMS are different from the actual ones.

Set the PEERNID and PEERLID exactly when setting E1 or T1 in each shelf.
Enter a shelf node ID of the counter device connected to the PEERNID.
Enter a port number of E1 or T1 for the counter device connected to the PEERLID.
Enter the PEERNID and PEERLID exactly, execute “composition of an auto network”, and then a connection picture between shelves will be created according to the set value.

15[VM] How can I check it when I lost the IP of the device?

You can check it through a rtrv-ip-cfg;  command after accessing the hyper terminal of the PC through a console port on the front of MCU(BCU).
For your reference, I inform you that the initially set IP during production is random.

14[VM] The shelf shape is invisible after the composition of an auto network.

This is a case in which the EMS of the current PC is not registered in each shelf.
You can register the EMS in the shelf belonging to the entire network through the “EMS registration” button on the top menu.
For your reference, I inform you that at most 5 EMSs can be registered in a shelf.

13[VM] CKI LED is continuously turned ON on the front of FRU and FCD Unit.

The CKI LED on the front of FRU and FCD Unit is an abbreviation of Clock internal, not Alarm, which means that the clock in the current device is working as Internal.

12[VM] How to adjust the level value of an analog port?

When it is necessary to adjust the level value during the service of fax, CID, analog modem, etc., adjust the TG/RG of the analogue port setting.
TG(Tx Gain): A transmission gain adjusted in the direction of converting an analog input signal into a digital signal
RG(Rx Gain): A reception gain adjusted in the direction of converting a digital reception signal into an analog signal

11[VM] The MB LED on the front of the unit is continuously turned ON.

When MB(Make Busy) occurs at the port

1. Check whether the port of the relevant unit is mapped in the FRU(FCD in case of WTC60/30).

2. Check whether the signal \bit was set in the same way as the counter station.
(Normal: 2bit, P32T: 1bit, KD4 : 1 bit during a service through a T1 circuit)

10[VM] When composing an auto network, you cannot recognize the connected equipment.

1. Check whether TID(Target ID) and NID(Node ID) are duplicated between the connected devices.
(When TID and NID are duplicated, the device cannot be called normally when composing an auto network.)

2. Check the alarm of DS1E and DS1 signals.
(Normal DCC communication cannot be realized when there occurs an alarm in the E1 or T1 circuit.)

3. Check the DCC setting of each shelf.
(DCC shall be set to Active, and Role shall be set to COT : Network, RT : User.)

9[VM] No backtone sound is heard during the opening of TD.

Change the service type of the port from SLC-T to TD.
No backtone sound is heard between SLC-T.
During a private circuit phone service, if you set both of them to TD, you can hear a backtone sound normally.
